Mathew ally

            “Well?” she asked.
“Well?  Nice secret the two of you cooked up.  Since when did you, of all people, become a Mathew ally?”
“I haven’t become a Mathew ally.   He can be very persistent when he wants something.”
            “Really?” I said sarcastically.  “Explain?”
“He wanted to know if you were coming, when, where, all the details.  I resisted at first knowing how last summer ended. In fact I was rude to him.  I told him what an asshole he was.  He asked if you were seeing anyone.  I told him I thought you were.”
            “Gayle,” I said.
“Couldn’t help myself, I wanted to hurt him, if that’s even possible.  He said he really wanted to see you.  He felt bad about last summer.  I told him I didn’t think that would be happening.”

Young adult

I have been busy writing my newest novel which is young adult.  This one seems to be going well and at a good clip.  I hope to be finished with it soon, so many more to write.

Reading

Reading a book for the first time in awhile because I'm usually writing.  All it is doing is reinforcing that I do have the ability to write.  It's a good thing.

Beautiful girl

“What a beautiful night,” I said, leaning into him.
“With a beautiful girl,” he said putting his arm around my shoulder, kissing me again.
Blake was smooth.  He always said and did the right things.  The things a girl wanted.  I had my doubts about his sincerity.  Luke, one of the bartenders at The Chart House, had given me a heads up about him.

Real slow

“It is beautiful, isn’t it,” he said.
There was no question I was physically attracted to him.   We both felt it earlier on the boat.  I wondered if it could ever be more than that, starting the whole process over seemed daunting to me.  Eric told me to stick my toe in the water, I was trying.
“Tate I have to go slow, real slow, maybe too slow for you, but it’s the only way it can work for me,” I said.

Hunting trips

“Martin, have you ever cheated on me?” she asked.
“Why would you think that?” he questioned.
“Hunting trips when you stay away for a few days.  Sometimes men tell their wives they are one place when they are actually in another.”
“No Rach I haven’t cheated on you.  To be honest though sometimes when I go I don’t actually hunt.  Sometimes I just enjoy my alone time.  Don’t take this the wrong way ok, I love you, but you’re a lot to handle.  We’re both type A personalities and there are times a break is a good thing,” Martin finished.

Dam broke

As I changed in his bathroom it came flooding back.  It was like the dam broke, the first time he kissed me, him asking to see my tits, him playing his guitar, Kim, Thanksgiving with Gayle, the first summer, when he asked me to lose Ben.  I wrapped the towel around me.  In overwhelm I followed him through the house.
