Time didn’t make figuring it out any simpler. I applied for unemployment as I searched for a job. I finally found one at a clothing shop in the mall close to my parent’s house. I went back to Max but our relationship had changed. I wasn’t the same girl who left Escondido six months ago. I had grown up in many ways, but nothing had changed with him. We fell right back into the same routine as it related to our relationship, his routine. I started spending more time with Liz than with Max.
